Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of As-Sunnah-based Character Education in YAUMI Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School and Al-Lulu 'wal Marjan Islamic Boarding School and the supporting and inhibiting factors of the implementation of Sunnah-based character education in both institutions. Qualitative research methods, ethnographic research design, research conducted at YAUMI Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School and Al-Lulu 'wal Marjan Islamic Boarding School, collecting data with data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1) The implementation of as-sunnah-based character education focuses on the education of the four mandatory characters of the Prophet, namely, the character of As-Sidiq, the character of the mandate, the character of tabligh, and the character of fatonah, each character is inculcated by using several strategies. (2) The implementation of the as-sunnah-based character education strategy has had a positive impact because it has been implemented properly and there are some that have had less impact because it has not been implemented. (3) The supporting and inhibiting factors at each institution vary according to the conditions of human resources, institutional facilities, student conditions, the role of student guardians, and the surrounding community.
