Abstract

The city of Yogyakarta is one of the cities that continues to develop both in terms of people's lives and in terms of spatial planning. The development of the city of Yogyakarta finally has an impact on the surrounding area. The development area of Yogyakarta City is in the form of several sub-districts in Sleman Regency which consists of Sleman, Ngemplak, Ngaglik, Seyegan, Mlati, Depok, Godean, Gamping, Berbah and Kalasan Districts. Meanwhile, Bantul Regency consists of the Districts of Kasihan, Banguntapan, Sedayu, Piyungan, Sewon, Pajangan, Pleret, Bantul and Jetis. These developments cause a lot of land use change, so it is necessary to analyze the level of the Land Potential Index. The purpose of knowing the Land Potential Index (IPL) is so that the land use or spatial plan is in accordance with the existing potential. The purpose of this study was to analyze (1) the Land Potential Index (IPL) level in the development area of Yogyakarta City, (2) the level of suitability of the Land Potential Index class with the Regional Spatial Plan in the Yogyakarta City development area. The parameters used in this study are slope, soil type, groundwater productivity, lithology and disaster vulnerability. The method used is tiered weighted spatial analysis. The Land Potential Index (IPL) in the development area of Yogyakarta City has 5 classes, namely very low, low, medium, high and very high classes. The IPL class that dominates in the research area is the medium and high class, where the medium class is in the southern area with an area of 159.34 km2 and the high class is in the north with an area of 424.80 km2. The very low class is located in the southeast with an area of 19.08 km2 while the very high and low classes are spread over several parts with an area of 0.97 km2 and 14.74 km2, respectively. Analysis of IPL and RTRW (Regional Spatial Plan) is divided into appropriate class and inappropriate class where the appropriate class means the plan is in accordance with the IPL and has an area of 580.83 km2 while the inappropriate class has an area of 22.39 km2.
