Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) learning planning by teachers based on science process skills in science content in class V SD Negeri Mangkuyudan Surakarta; 2) the implementation of science process skills-based learning research; 3) constraints and solutions of learning research based on science process skills. This type of research is qualitative and the design of this study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. In this study data collection techniques were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations were made by observing the implementation of science process skills in science learning in class V of SD Negeri Mangkuyudan Surakarta. Qualitative interviews are conducted when the researcher asks teachers and students open questions relating to science process skills. The documentation used by researchers in the form of lesson plans and other supporting documents. The data obtained is validated data. Data validation is done through data triangulation methods with source and technique triangulation. Data analysis was performed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing / verification. The results of this study are: 1) In planning science process skills in thematic learning a teacher makes lesson plans and syllabus so that learning can run smoothly, a teacher must make plans to implement science learning activities that are based on science process skills in an integrated manner with reference to syllabus and learning implementation plan; 2) The implementation of learning activities based on science process skills in the fifth grade Natural Science content in Mangkuyudan State Elementary School Surakarta has been maximized; 3) Science process skills there are obstacles in the application of science process skills, solutions in the application of science process skills activities as follows: Schools expect the Government to provide adequate facilities and infrastructure for the smooth teaching and learning process. The teacher also overcomes these obstacles by creating his own media, and with the teacher's creative ideas.
