Abstract

This study aimed to estimate the affect of Provincial Minimum Wage, Economic Growth, Investment (Foreign Investment and Domestic Investment), and Education Level and on Labor Absorption in Kalimantan Island during the period 2016 2020 using a pandel data regression analysis. The results showed the selected estimated model is the Fixed Effects Model (FEM). The results of the cross section t-test showed that economic growth had a positive effect on labor absorption, while minimum wage, investment, and education levels were found to have no effects on labor absorption in Kalimantan in 2016 2020. Local governments need to continue to improve the quality of the workforce through the provision of quality education and training that can be widely accessed by the workforce.
