Abstract

Autistic Children's School in Karanganyar with an Architectural Approach to Behavior is a school intended for autistic children by creating an interactive space atmosphere in a learning atmosphere and a therapeutic atmosphere. In addition, this Autistic Children's School also provides facilities that are in accordance with the sensory dysfunction in each autistic child, so that education and therapy run optimally according to the needs of the autistic child. It is hoped that the Autistic Children's School can become a center for the education of autistic children for people in Karanganyar and even throughout Central Java. The behavioral architectural approach is used as the basis for designing buildings that are adapted to the behavior of autistic children by not forgetting the comfort and safety aspects. This is because the behavior of autistic children is different from the behavior of other normal children. By adjusting the behavior of autistic children, it is hoped that they can support their learning process and therapy process in a more positive direction.
