Abstract

The existence of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused learning in the Microbiology practicum course to not take place face-to-face. Learning is carried out online using the Schoology platform. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of online learning based on schoology in the Microbiology practicum course. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with the aim of knowing the description of the application of online learning with the schoology platform in the Microbiology practicum course in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, with data sources from interviews with lecturers, questionnaires with lecturer assistants, and the results of student scores for describes online-based microbiology practicum learning using the schoology application. The results of the study show that online learning through schoology is very helpful in the lecture process and the performance of practicum assistants and lecturers such as an automatic assessment system. This is supported by the results of interviews and questionnaires regarding the use of schoology in the online learning process, as well as the practicum and posttest scores of students.
