Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the inflation rate and the rupiah exchange rate affect Islamic investment in Indonesia in the period January 2017-December 2019. This study uses secondary data analysis. The analytical method used in this study is the Multiple Linear Regression method, namely Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Islamic investment as the dependent variable while the inflation rate and the rupiah exchange rate as independent variables. The results of this study indicate that the inflation variable has a negative and insignificant effect on Islamic investment. While the rupiah exchange rate variable (exchange rate) has a positive and significant effect on sharia investment. There are several suggestions that can be given related to the results of the research conducted. The government must implement the right policies to suppress the inflation rate. And is expected to make policies that can support the investment climate in Indonesia, especially sharia investment. The need for socialization of Islamic investment instruments for investors who are unfamiliar with Islamic investment so that the Islamic capital market in Indonesia is more developed.
