Abstract

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is the market value of all goods and services produced by a country within a given period. GDP is an indicator of economic growth in each country, and is useful for measuring the extent of national economic growth and what still needs to be improved. The study aimed to estimate the effect of government spending, inflation, labor force, and export on GDP in seven ASEAN member countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, Myanmar, and Indonesia) in 2016-2020 using a panel data regression. The results the Fixed Effects approach showed that all independent variables were proven to statistically and positively affect GDP. The governments of each country are expected to improve overall economic performance through intra-ASEAN economic cooperation to create an advanced and prosperous region.
