Abstract

Economic growth is one of the important indicators to measure a country's development. The rate of economic growth in Central Java in 2014-2019 tended to be slow, so that it can cause the economy in Central Java Province to become less stable. This study aimed to estimate the effect of government spending, consumption, and investment on GRDP in Central Java in 2014-2019 with panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results of this study indicated that, simultaneously, all independent variables were proven to have a significant effect on GRDP. Meanwhile, partially, government spending, consumption, and investment each was proven to have a positive effect on GRDP. Suggestions that can be given in this research is that government spending should be used to carry out government functions such as infrastructure development for the benefit of the community such as education, health facilities, and salaries for government employees. Increasing public consumption, as well as the government is expected to improve the investment climate to encourage investors so that economic growth is encouraged.
