Abstract
The construction of the toll road network makes the area in Pemalang Regency a strategic and accessible area because it can be accessed directly without passing through the old lanes that tend to experience congestion. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the community after the toll road was built and how the influence of toll road construction on the economy of traders around the north coast ring road in Petarukan sub-district. This research is a quantitative descriptive research using survey method. Methods of data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique with a sample of 120 people. The characteristics of business actors are dominated by men, although the involvement of women in this work is also quite large, namely 48%, while the age group is dominated by the age of 45-50 years. while for the level of education, economic actors in the Petarukan area are dominated by elementary school graduates, which is 47.37%. The results of this study are the income of business actors before the construction of toll roads with income < Rp. 2,519,916.00 which is a low income category as many as 73 people or 61%, income between Rp. 2,519,916.00 – Rp. 3,009.938.00 which is the medium category as many as 29 people or 24%, and business actors with an income of Rp. 3,009,938.00 which is a high income category as many as 18 people or 15%, the income after the construction of the toll road with an income of < Rp. 1,433,750 which is a low income category as many as 88 people or 73%, income between Rp. 1,433,750 – Rp. 1,804,984.00 which is the medium category as many as 24 people or 20%, and business actors with income above Rp. 1,804,484.00, which is a high income category, as many as 8 people or 7%. This shows a decline in the income of MSME business actors which in the end business actors reduce the workforce to optimize monthly income.
