Abstract

Students' understanding of the material for classifying animals based on the type of food is very important, because this material is a material that is continuous with the material on the relationship between living things in the ecosystem. The learning process applied at MIM Lemahbang Nogosari still uses conventional learning methods where the learning process is still teacher-centered. Teacher-focused learning will result in a passive learning process. The curriculum applied at MIM Lemahbang Nogosari uses the 2013 curriculum. The 2013 curriculum is no longer teacher-centered, but more student-centered. Multimedia-based learning is one of the media that can apply the student center principle. The purpose of this research is to design learning media based on 2D educational games to increase students' interest in learning about animal classification based on the type of food. This research was conducted using the Research and Development method with stages 1) Exploration 2) Development 3) Testing 4) Dissemination. The results of this study show that from the media experts obtained a feasibility percentage of 86%, material experts 92% and user assessment using the SUS questionnaire obtained 92.33% results from 30 students, so this learning media is very suitable to be used to help the learning process. .
