Abstract

Shoulder pain is one of the most common disorders in everyday life. The main cause of this shoulder pain and dysfunction is subacromial impingement of the shoulder and the glenohumeral joint. One of the physiotherapy tools that can improve posture is Kinesio taping. Objective to analyze the effect of kinesio taping on reducing shoulder pain based on a critical review. This type of research is critical review research, namely evaluation of journals, books, and articles. The basic data search was carried out using the search engine Google Scholar, Pubmed, and the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) literature. Identify the type of quartiles of articles with the scimago journal and country rank (SRJ) search engine. Quartile used is Q1-Q3. A critical review of 4 articles that were used as the basis for this study on the effectiveness of kinesio taping on pain shoulder. The conclusion obtained by the author is that giving kinesio taping on shoulder pain is very effective in recovering pain shoulder and has an effect on increasing functional activity.
