Abstract

Sukoharjo Regency is experiencing population growth which causes land use activities to also increase land use changes. Changes in use in Sukoharjo Regency there are deviations due to incompatibility with the Spatial Pattern Plan, causing problems in spatial planning. Prediction of land use is carried out in order to monitor and control changes in use so that there are no deviations. The research objectives include analyzing land use changes in 2010-2020, predicting land use in 2025 and analyzing the suitability of the predictions against the 2011-2031 spatial pattern plan in Sukoharjo Regency. The research method used is image processing with on-screen digitization, besides that indirect observation is also carried out to test accuracy, the analytical method used is Spatial Process Analysis and Quantitative Descriptive. The results of the study indicate that during the period 2010-2020 the increased land use was residential, industrial and dry land, while the decreased land use was rice fields, plantations and forests as well as waters that did not change. In 2020, rice fields have the largest area, namely 46.81%, settlements 38.01%, fields 10.45%, plantations 1.68%, industry 1.50%, waters 0.89% and forests 0.66% . In 2025, it is predicted that land use will still have the same pattern as in 2020, rice fields will be the most extensive, namely 43.9%, settlements 30.25%, fields 10.67%, industry 1.9%, plantations 1.65%, waters 0.89% and forests 0.66%. Decreased land use, namely rice fields with the largest area of decline in Gatak District, declining forest occurred in Weru District, declining plantations in Polokarto District. Meanwhile, land use increased, namely residential land, which increased a lot in the northern part of Sukoharjo Regency because it was directly adjacent to Surakarta City, industrial land increased in all sub-districts except Weru District which did not have an industry. which has not changed. The variable that most influences the change is the distance to the road, then the variable center of activity, strategic area, river and city center. The level of suitability of land use predictions in 2025, which is 78.48% is in accordance with the direction, 11.92% is not appropriate and 9.59% is not suitable. This needs to be a concern for the government to avoid mismatches in land use, cooperation from all levels of society is needed to realize the planned spatial arrangement.
