THE EFFECT OF SPENDING ON TECHNOLOGY AND SPENDING ON BOOK FOR STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT IN ACCOUNTUNG EDUCATION FKIP UMS.Thesis Accounting Education Study Program,Faculty of Teacher Trainning Education, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, September 2021. The aim of this study is to investigate: (1) positive and significant effect of spending on technology for student learning achievement. (2) positive and significant effect of spending for books on student learning achievement. (3) positive and significant effect of spending on technology and spending on books for student learning achievement. This research was quantitative with causal comparative design. The population in this study were Students of the Accounting program class of 2016/2017 Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta totaling 255 and 70 samples. The data collection technique used questionnaired. Data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis, t test, and F test.Based on the results of data analysis obtained double linear regression line equation as follows Y = 3.484 - 0.27X1 + 0.52X2. The equation shows that learning achievement is effect by spending on technology and spending on books. Based on the analysis and discussion can be concluded that: (1) spending on technology has a negative and insignificant effect on student learning achievement. This is based on a double linear regression analysis (t test) in which thitung< ttabel, -0.881 < 1.667 and a significant value of > 0.1, which is 0.382. (2) spending on books has a positive and significant effect on student learning achievement. This is based on a double linear regression analysis (t test) in which thitung> ttabel, 2,325< 1,667 and a significant value of < 0.1, i.e. 0.023. (3) expenditures on technology and expenditures on books have a positive and significant impact on student learning achievement. This is based on a double linear regression analysis (test F) Fhitung = 2,890 >Ftabel = 2.38 and a significant probability value of < 0.1, i.e. 0.063. The coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.052% or 5.2%. It implies that 94,8% variant of the dependent variable are explained by other of factor that are not discussed in the study.
