Abstract
Regional development is one form of regional economic growth. If an area has equitable and periodic regional development, it can be said that its economic growth is good, therefore there is an effort to increase the plantation sector in order to find out which sectors can produce superior commodities. Knowing what leading sectors can support future economic growth will improve people's welfare. Of course, the effort was passed through the Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ) approach, Shisftshare. The results of this study indicate that sugarcane commodities have superior LQ results, and sugarcane commodities will also become the base sector in the future. Based on the results of the classic shift share, East Java's GRDP shows positive results, while the results of the plantation sub-sector have negative values.
