Abstract
This study aims to examine the Factors Affecting the Human Development Index (Empirical Study in West Java Province 2013-2019). The sample used in this study was 160 data from districts and cities in West Java Province, which were taken by purposive sampling technique. The data is obtained from time series data of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), Poverty Level, Open Unemployment Rate, Population, and Education Sector published by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) West Java in 2013–2019 which is accessed through the website www.jabar .bps.go.id. This research data analysis using linear multiple regression.The results of the study indicate that Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), Total Population positive and significant effect on the Human Development Index. While the Poverty Level, Open Unemployment Rate, and the Education Sector have a negative and significant effect on the Human Development Index.
