Abstract

This study aims to identify the potential of economic sectors in Banyuwangi Regency. This study uses four analytical tools, namely: Contribution Analysis, Location Quotient (LQ) Analysis, and Klassen Typology Analysis, Shift Share Analysis. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of Gross Regional Domestic Product data in Banyuwangi Regency obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of East Java Province, the Central Statistics Agency of Banyuwangi Regency. The results of the study using the Location Quotient (LQ) method indicate that the agricultural sector, mining and quarrying sector, construction sector, transportation and warehousing sector, education services sector are the leading sectors. The results of the analysis of the contribution of the agricultural sector are sectors that play a high role in the growth of the Gross Regional Domestic Product of Banyuwangi Regency. Klassen's Typological analysis shows that the sectors that are included in the advanced and fast-growing sectors are the agricultural sector, the construction sector, the trade sector, hotels and restaurants, the transportation and warehousing sector, and the education services sector. The classic Shift Share results show that the economy of Banyuwangi Regency has a positive total value of economic performance and increases every year of the study.
