Abstract
ABSTRACT This research is about the Strategy of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Fostering Student Morals at Mutiara Insan Sukoharjo Integrated Islamic Junior High School During the Pandemic Period of the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The background is an Islamic Religious Education teacher who must be able to take full responsibility for fostering student morals, because in education a teacher is a role model for his students. Morals have the most important position in human life. Morals must be instilled early in a person, because morality will be the beginning of the formation of a human character. During this pandemic period, all teachers have difficulty in teaching and learning activities and fostering student morals, so a teacher carries out a new strategy in order to carry out these activities well. Then the researchers conducted research at SMPIT Mutiara Insan Sukoharjo because this junior high school is a vulnerable age for students, where they are no longer small children but also immature so they still need guidance and guidance from teachers. This study aims to describe the strategy of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering student morals and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in fostering student morals at Mutiara Insan Sukoharjo Integrated Islamic Junior High School during the pandemic. In this study, the author uses a type of field research where the research is carried out by going directly to the field, namely at the SMPIT Mutiara Insan Sukoharjo school. This research is qualitative by using a phenomenological approach. Data was collected by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. The results of the research conducted showed that the strategies of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering the morals of students at the Mutiara Insan Integrated Islamic Junior High School during the pandemic were: exemplary, habituation, giving advice and giving rewards and punishments. Then the supporting and inhibiting factors in fostering student morals. The supporting factors are: Willingness in students, exemplary teachers and parents of students.
