Abstract

Patients with diabetes mellitus do not occur suddenly, but begins with prediabetes conditions. Lack of physical activity and lifestyle changes can be experienced by employees of the ministry of religion in Boyolali who work every day spending their time sitting and the habit of eating sweet foods is also often done, this can be the cause of prediabetes. This study aims to determine the description of prediabetes in employees of the ministry of religion in Boyolali. This study uses an explorative descriptive research design with total sampling technique. The research sample was 56 people who did not have diabetes mellitus and actively worked in the office. Data collection using the Indonesian Prediabetes Risk Score (INA-PRISC) questionnaire and observations in the form of frequency and percentage distributions. Characteristics of respondents aged 36-45 years, female gender, S1-S2 education, not smoking, not having a history of DM in the family, doing physical activity 150 min/week, observing in the category of prehypertension and overweight, and respondents in the category of moderate risk of prediabetes. Incident prediabetes in the Boyolali Ministry of Religion office employees in the moderate risk category.
