Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has made learning activities carried out at home online. The impact of this learning makes students experience burnout in their academic activities. The purpose of this study was to reveal the relationship between learning motivation, self-regulation and social support with student academic burnout during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research method is quantitative correlational using multiple regression analysis techniques. The research population is the students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura. The sample is 162 students, obtained by convenience sampling technique. Data collection uses a learning motivation scale, self-regulation scale, social support scale and academic burnout scale which are distributed online via a google form link. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between learning motivation, self-regulation and social support with student academic burnout during the Covid-19 pandemic (F = 15,644, Sig = 0.00). This means that the variables of learning motivation, self-regulation and social support together can be predictors of academic burnout variables. There is a significant negative relationship between learning motivation and academic burnout (r = -0.226, Sig = 0.002). There is a significant negative relationship between self-regulation and academic burnout (r = -0.400, Sig = 0.000). There is a significant negative relationship between social support and academic burnout (r = -0.092, Sig = 0.011). The effective contribution of learning motivation, self-regulation and social support variables to academic burnout is 22.9%, with details of learning motivation contributing 6.8%, self-regulation 14% and social support 2.1%.
