Abstract

Home Industry Products or PIRT is a food industry that is produced in the owner's house with kitchen utensils that are commonly used daily to produce products. The legality is in the form of a food production certificate, namely a license for the food industry whose production is home-scale, a written guarantee given by the Regent/Mayor-through the Health Office that has met the requirements and safety standards that have been set. That the producers who already have a distribution permit can freely distribute their products. The existence of food licensing for household-scale business actors certainly provides the best solution for business actors in having food permits so that the food products produced can be circulated in Indonesia. The obstacle that is often experienced by business actors is the registration process which is classified as difficult, making it difficult for business actors to obtain food permits. The approach method used in this research is descriptive normative. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data consisting of primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. Methods of collecting data using the field study method by conducting interviews and observations. Respondents in this study were home industry business actors. The results of this research illustrate how important a food license is, the registration process, until business actors have food permits for the products they produce.
