Abstract
The strategy of Islamic Religious Education teachers in the process of increasing student interest in class VIII in the subjects of aqidah and morals has been going well, and the strategy applied by Islamic Religious Education teachers in increasing student interest in learning has been maximized. The purpose of this study is to identify the strategy and constraints of teachers in increasing the interest in learning of class VIII students in the subject of moral aqidah. This research is a field research with a descriptive qualitative approach.The results of the study indicate that the strategy of Islamic Religious Education teachers in increasing the learning interest of class VIII students in the subjects of aqidah morality is through: a) interesting learning methods, b) giving tests, c) giving gifts, d) informing learning outcomes, e) giving praise, f) provide motivation, g) provide punishment. Meanwhile, the obstacles are: a) lack of appreciation for student achievement, b) internet access, c) students, d) infrastructure.
