Abstract

This study aims to describe the strengthening of the character of responsibility and discipline in students through the School Security Patrol extracurricular at SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta along with the obstacles and solutions. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta. Collecting data in this study using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used interactive analysis. The results of this study indicate that strengthening the character of responsibility by means of physical exercise, PBB, PJR exercises, self-defense exercises, and independent exercises which are carried out 2 times a week, PKS members help condition ceremony activities, student council activities, monitor school anniversary activities, and organize events. cross, following the PKS work program activities carried out by PKS members consisting of stabilization, tri generations, education and training, makraband halal bihalal. Constraints that arise are that there are members who do not exercise regularly, PKS members are late in carrying out conditioning ceremonies, monitoring student council activities and school anniversary activities, and one of the less effective PKS programs is the collective SIM program which only runs for a few periods. The solutions carried out are reprimands, running around the push field, coaching and work program activities for the PKS builder to maximize and prioritize the tri generation work program, education and training, stabilization, makrab and halal bihalal. Strengthening the character of discipline by means of time discipline in routine training activities, PBB, road management, and regulating the course of other school activities, the attributes used during Highway Regulation (PJR) activities are wearing a white pet hat, blue and white traffic police cuffs, black belt , whistle, white gloves, black shoes, white socks and PJR vest and for routine training wear PDH shoes and a belt, as well as adjust clothes in PJR activities using white daily official clothes complete with attributes and practice using field service clothes. Constraints that arise are lack of time discipline, lack of discipline in using attributes such as socks that are not long enough and hats left behind, and for dressing discipline, forgetting to bring clothes or the wrong color of clothes and hats are left behind.The solution is running around the field, push ups and coaching, reprimand during evaluation for PKS members who are less disciplined.
