Abstract

This study aims to find out the framing of the Lion Air JT 610 plane crash in the Detik.com. This research uses qualitative method by focused framing analysis of Robert N Entman model. The results showed that Detik.com in reporting the Lion Air JT 610 plane crash was able to provide a highlight on the alleged cause of the accident stemming from technical constraints. The promination of the point of view is described objectively, factually, actually and simultaneously. To strengthen his point of view, Detik.com gave a s fair share of information quotes coming from authoritative institutions, such as the National Committee for Transportation Safety (KNKT), Boeing and Basarnas. The existence of quotations from the authoritative institution is very dominant in every news of the Lion Air JT 610 plane crash. In this news is more implemented on the meaning of the event of a plane crash as running news that always presents new details of information from each edition. That is what makes the hasty conclusion of any preaching. Detik.com emphasis on the cause of the accident stemming from technical c onstraints. Detik.com through a fairly holistic explanation of the technical constraints. There are pretty good explanations regarding damage to airspeed indica tors, AOA (Angle of Attack) sensors and indications of possible software misinterpretation.
