Abstract
In modern times like today the consumption of electrical energy has increased rapidly because many conventional equipment using human resources has now turned into automatic control system equipment using electrical energy sources. Therefore it is necessary to have a large supply of electrical power and is available continuously, especially in an industry that serves every day. Industrial use that uses Diesel Power Plant (PLTD) as the main source of electrical energy can be operated alternately or together in parallel to supply power to loads either manually or automatically. In certain conditions, such as a disturbance in one of the generators or during maintenance, the electrical power to the load must not be cut off, so a synchronoscope system is needed when the generator parallel process is required. In the parallel process of a generator with a generator or with other sources, the requirements, namely the frequency, voltage and phase sequence must be the same. The method in making this system is divided into two parts. The first is hardware design, which consists of designing electronic devices. Second, the design of software which consists of synchronous generator synchronization system programming using Arduino software (IDE). This system uses the Arduino ATmega 2560 as the main controller, for reading the voltage value using the diode bridge and voltage devider method, as well as several other sensors such as a frequency sensor using optocoupler PC817 and a phase sequence sensor. The purpose of this research is to design and make synchronization simulators of two synchronous generators based on the Arduino ATmega 2560 microcontroller which can be carried out automatically. From the test, it was found that the simulator that was made to function properly synchronized to activate the relay as a contactor at a frequency of 51 Hz and a voltage of 3 volts on each generator. This synchroscope simulator has an average error percentage of 2.2% for the voltage sensor and 1.9% for the frequency sensor.
