Abstract

The existence of Covid-19 has an impact on Muhammadiyah schools in Kartasura District, Sukoharjo Regency, where there is an education system skill that was originally offline turned into online with the Covid-19 Pandemic. The purpose of this study was to determine the adaptation of schools during the pandemic, school management during the pandemic and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on new student enrollment interest in Muhammadiyah schools in Kartasura District. The method used in this research is the survey method. The data used is data from Muhammadiyah schools in Kartasura District which are sourced from reference data from the Ministry of Education and Culture 2021. Data processing techniques start from interviews, editing and re-checking, coding, tabulation, data interpretation. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative analysis and spatial analysis. The theme of spatial analysis in this study uses a spatial organization/system. The results of this study show the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Muhammadiyah schools in Kartasura sub-district where there are changes in learning adaptation, including changing the curriculum to an emergency curriculum, using various types of online learning applications such as schoology, google classroom, moodle etc., face-to-face learning is carried out. according to the process, learning materials are turned into online systems, for example ppt narration and video learning materials. Adaptation of infrastructure facilities, among others, increasing the number of staff to support the teaching and learning process such as thermo guns, face shields, spray sanitizers, and sterilization booths and adaptation of working hours for teachers and employees, including the working hours of teachers and employees, most of which experienced a reduction from more than 5 hours to more than 5 hours. less than 5 hours per day. Financial adaptations include cutting tuition fees by 20% – 30%, school expenses which are higher than before by 20% – 28%, and school deficits reaching Rp. 25,000,000.00. Adaptation of school promotions includes the way schools conduct promotions using social media, banners etc. and discounts given to new students by 10% – 30%. School management includes human resource management, namely how to regulate the working hours of teachers and employees, which work hours are shorter than before and regulate learning during a pandemic, where study hours are also shorter than before. Financial management includes school finances which have decreased by 20% - 60%, registration fees are still fixed and graduate fees have decreased to 71.42%. Learning management and infrastructure management include ways to regulate the duration of learning during a pandemic. The impact of the pandemic on new student registrants includes registration and selection of new students, most of which can be done online, and a decrease in the number of registrants in all Muhammadiyah schools in Kartasura District due to the Covid-19 Pandemic which in 2019 - 2020 decreased by 7.71 %.
