Abstract
Rembang Regency is a city located in Central Java Province which is a city famous for its fishing and marine industry. Unfortunately, every year the level of production from the fisheries and marine sector in Rembang Regency doesn’t a significant increase. Based on direct observation of the fisheries and marine sector, there are several problems that underlie the conditions that occur in Rembang Regency, namely at the level of quality of human resources in the fisheries and marine sector, regeneration of business actors in the field of fisheries and marine affairs, and environmental damage to marine ecosystems. Based on these three backgrounds, a facility is needed to facilitate this. To improve the quality of human resources and to regenerate business actors, an educational area is needed to produce competent human resources and introduce fisheries and marine science as early as possible and lastly to help maintain the state of the ecosystem apart from education as well as through design concepts with ecological architecture by taking into account the surrounding ecological conditions and not damaging the environment. the state of the existing ecosystem in the future. So from the three responses to the problems that occur, a Marine and Fisheries Education Center is needed that facilitates educational and recreational activities in Rembang Regency which is later expected to improve the community's economy through the marine and fisheries sector. so that the Marine and Fisheries Education Center requires several facilities in the form of formal and non-formal education places, an attraction to attract interest and provide experiences to visitors, as well as a place for promotion of fishery products.
