Abstract

This study aimed to estimate the effect of the number of MSME units, the number of MSME workers, the number of MSME non-oil exports and the amount of MSME investment on the gross domestic product of the Indonesian MSME sector. The data used is time series data, with regression analysis tool Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The results showed that the number of non-oil and gas exports of MSMEs and MSME investments had a positive effect on the gross domestic product of the MSME sector. Meanwhile, the number of MSME units and the number of MSME workers do not affect the gross domestic product of the MSME sector. The government is expected to increase its role in empowering the MSME sector comprehensively. For example, from the formation of the character of MSMEs, the improvement of human resources capabilities, the effective and efficient production process. In addition, the government also needs to provide convenience in facilities for capital to MSMEs. The government is expected to increase its role in empowering the MSMEs sector.
