Abstract
Generator is a tool or machine that converts energy, with an electromagnetic induction process. Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Generator (PMSG) is a generator whose existing field is generated by a permanent magnet instead of a coil so that magnetic flux is generated by a permanent magnetic field. The advantage of Permanent Magnet is that there are no losses on excitation due to the magnet field directly from the magnet and allows many modifications to the shape of the stator and rotor. Generators using permanent magnets have many advantages over using electromagnetic excitation. In this study, an analysis of the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator used a variation in the rotor’s rotary direction. The design of the generator uses the model which will repeat every 90° and has 3 coil slots and 2 magnetic poles that get a maximum voltage of 19 v which can be seen in the interphase voltage wave and is calculated using a 4 series phase calculation. The results obtained after using different rotor direction variations can be seen in the waves calculated using the interphase voltage and flux linkage.
