Abstract

The purposes of this study are: 1. To find out how the implementation of the business development strategy used by Burger Risna in Gemah Semarang 2. To find out how the SWOT analysis determines the business development strategy of Burger Risna in Gemah Semarang. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Methods of data collection using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The result of the research is that the strategy of developing Risna's Burger business in Gemah Semarang is using innovation and promotion. Product innovation is carried out by changing the shape of the burger filling in collaboration with tempe to be slightly thick, has a soft and crunchy texture, and has different flavor variants ranging from original, cheese, and sweet spicy. Promotion is done in two ways, namely using social media Instagram and direct sales by providing discounts and brochures. SWOT Analysis Strengths of unique flavors, affordable prices, and flavors that have been adapted to Indonesian tastes, Weaknesses, Products offered are not able to last long, facilities owned are still lacking, sales are narrow, and marketing is still limited . Opportunities or opportunities to use Instagram for promotion. Threath is the number of new products and businessmen selling the same product, giving rise to new competitors. The conclusion of this research is that Burger Risna's business development strategy by innovating and promoting can be used to maintain customer interest to stay interested in its products, and Burger Risna in Gemah Semarang has great strengths and opportunities so that they can take advantage of these opportunities to increase sales and marketing.
