Abstract
Electric Rail Train (KRL), is a trains that use electrical energy as the main power source. The electrical power required by this KRL will be supplied using a conductor wire that runs along the top of the KRL route which is commonly referred to as the cartenary system or LAA (Upper Flow Electricity). Electric Rail Trains usually require 1500 VDC for work, which is supplied by PLN of 20 kV AC which is lowered using a rectifier system. The rectifier component can create harmonics that can distort the voltage source and in the long run can cause damage to electrical equipment. The purpose of this research is to determine the value of voltage and harmonic currents and to arrange harmonic filters in KRL traction substations. Research on harmonic distortion in the 20kV sub-section at the Purwosari and Gawok traction substations with Power Metering resulted in a maximum THD-v of 2.33% (according to IEEE standards) and a maximum THD-I of 11,34% (according to IEEE standards).
