Abstract

This research aims to 1) analyze the revenge action that the main character did in the novel Woman at Point Zero by Nawal El Saadawi and 2) describe how revenge depicted in Woman at Point Zero novel. This novel tells about the story of women who suffered in her life since child. In this study, the researcher rises the issue of revenge that did by the main character of the novel. There are two type of data source. First, primary data is Woman at Point Zero novel (2007) written by Nawal El Saadawi. Second, secondary data are journals, books, and the internet sources related to the study. Two type of data sources collected by library research and internet. This research belongs to qualitative research. The technique of data analysis is descriptive analysis. This research uses individual psychology approach to conduct the research. The result of this study are: first result is the indicators of revenge which are inferiority feeling, striving for superiority, and creative power; second result is the depiction of revenge which depicted through the characterization of the main character and events of the story.
