Abstract

Background: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a disease caused by infection with the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) virus. This disease has spread in most countries in the world. The virus can affect anyone, especially vulnerable people. One of the vulnerable people is a pregnant woman. Pregnancy causes physiological changes and decreased immunity. Infection in pregnant women can lead to maternal and neonatal complications. Purpose: Getting an explanation of the possible vertical transmission of COVID-19 from mother to fetus in pregnancy. Method: This research is a literature review. Literature review data was collected by starting publication journals in the online database of pubmed, science direct, Elsevier. Searching for journal publications with the keywords vertical transmission, COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, and pregnancy. The analysis technique uses a table containing 14 articles summaries. Results: There were 1.583 articles that were found and then excluded according to the restriction criteria, obtained 14 articles were found to be reviewed. Conclusion : There is no evidence of vertical transmission of COVID-19.
