Abstract
A teacher in carrying out his duties as an educator as well as a second parent for his students at school must have sufficient skills or competencies in order to create a good learning achievement for students. One of the teacher competencies that must be mastered is pedagogical competence. In general, pedagogical competence is a teacher's ability to manage learning so as to produce effective and efficient learning. One of the subjects that is quite important to be applied in everyday life is jurisprudence. With the knowledge of fiqh, students can carry out their worship by knowing the foundation according to Islamic law. At this time, which is still in a state of the Covid-19 pandemic, education in schools is carried out virtually or online. Therefore, a jurisprudence teacher must be able to manage learning well even though it is carried out online so that student learning achievement remains stable. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the pedagogical competence of Islamic religious education teachers (fiqh) on the learning achievement of students in grades VIII at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Weleri Kendal in the academic year 2020/2021 as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. In this study using a qualitative approach with field studies at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Weleri Kendal. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and also documentation obtained directly from the school. This study uses a phenomenological approach, which is an approach in researching a certain phenomenon that appears from the researcher’s awareness or knowledge about all the visible symptoms of a phenomenon observed by an observer to get the actual observations. The results of this study can be concluded that the implementation of the pedagogical competence of Islamic religious education teachers (fiqh) on student achievement is quite good, especially in terms of the ability to master the characteristics of students, master learning theory and teaching learning principles, develop curriculum and design learning, develop learning educating and utilizing ICT in learning, providing facilities for the development of the potential of students, good at communicating with students, and assessing and evaluating student learning outcomes. The supporting factors are 1) the role and economic condition of the parents 2) the competence and creativity of the teacher 3) the policy of the principal. The inhibiting factors are 1) student puberty factors 2) lack of motivation and student discipline 3) lack of facilities and infrastructure in online learning and teacher additional activities.
