Abstract

This study aims to determine, analyze, and obtain empirical evidence about the effect of independence, competence, accountability, and work experience on the audit quality of KAP auditors in Surakarta and Yogyakarta. This research was conducted using a survey method with a questionnaire. Samples and respondents are auditors who work at KAP and are registered in the IAPI Directory, in Surakarta and Yogyakarta as many as 40 respondents. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression method. The results showed that independence, competence, accountability, and work experience affect audit quality on an ongoing basis, while competence has no effect.
