Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is an important indicator in measuring economic growth in a region. The rate of economic growth in the former Surakarta residency tends to be stagnant at 5%, and it is feared that economic activities are not optimal. This study aimed to estimate the effect of investment, government spending, and net exports on GRDP in the former Surakarta residency in 2016-2019 using fixed effect panel data regression model. The results of this study indicated that investment had no effect on GRDP individually. Meanwhile, government spending and net exports was statistically proven to have a positive effect on GRDP. The suggestion that needs to be given in this research is that the government is expected to create a conducive climate for investors in an effort to increase GRDP. In addition, government spending must be in accordance with the government's objectives of increasing economic growth as measured by an increase in GRDP. The government must implement policies regarding imports and exports, so that exports and imports are carried out according to needs and can support the increase in GRDP.
