Abstract
Indonesia is known as an agricultural country. But the fact is that from time to time land is decreasing, this is in line with urban development and an increase in population. There are many conversions of rice fields into settlements, some for infrastructure and industrial development, rice fields are rarely found because they have turned into settlements and offices. Changes in internal and external conditions that occur require appropriate and mature policies from policymakers to develop the potential of rural areas. Innovation is one of the keys for rural communities to face the development of science and technology. One of the ways to develop a village is by creating an independent village. The concept of the independent prosperous village presupposes the existence of construction of thought that places the "Village" in the position of the subject, a social organization that must be fully trusted by "outsiders" to regulate itself, with the power and capital that is in itself. So that it has a distinctive (specific) social, economic, cultural, and ecological character. The main objectives of the rural community development program are to increase productivity, improve the quality of life of rural residents and strengthen self-reliance. The discussion method used is qualitative-descriptive by using primary data from field observations and secondary data from a literature review. From the analysis and concept results, the results are in the form of design proposals in the Jagan Sukoharjo Village area, namely (1) hall and workshop buildings; (2) local markets; (3) cooperatives; (4) mosques and collaboration spaces; (5) service room and water storage; (6) fish hatchery center; (7) cowshed; (8) fertilizer processing; (9) packing area; and (10) parking areas. The design proposal is a design with an independent village concept based on integrated farming with participatory methods, through mentoring, coaching, and mentoring as an effort to increase human resources related to agricultural innovation.
