Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of income, number of family dependents, savings on household consumption expenditure according to an Islamic economic perspective. The types of data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Where primary data is data obtained directly from the first source as respondents. Meanwhile, secondary data were obtained from books, internet sites and other reading related to the problem under study. This study uses multiple linear regression models with the OLS method on computer software Eviews 8 and uses 55 respondents. The results of the regression indicate that simultaneously the variable income, number of family dependents and savings have an effect on the variable household consumption expenditure. While partially the income variable and the number of family dependents have a positive and significant effect on household consumption expenditure. Meanwhile, the savings variable has a negative and significant effect on household consumption expenditure. Based on the Islamic economic view, household consumption activities in Sombokeling Village are not in accordance with the principles of Islamic consumption where there is no match between income and consumption expenditure.
