Abstract
PIK-R (Youth Information and Counseling Center) is a government effort to help problems related to adolescent health. Even though there is a youth health service program, its implementation is still lacking. One of the factors that influence health services is the need for these services. This study aims to see the relationship between perceptions of health and sexual information with the interaction of adolescents as members of PIK-R at SMAN 3 Sukoharjo. This type of research is analytic observational with a case control study design. The research sample was 120, consisting of 40 case samples and 80 control samples using frequency matching technique based on gender and class. The data was collected using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The analysis in this study used the Chi-square test and the Mantel-Haenszel chi-square test. The results showed that there is no relationship between perceptions of sexual and reproductive health information needs on PIK-R membership in SMAN 3 Sukoharjo (p-value = 0.648> 0.05). Based on the stratification analysis of Mantel Haenszel, it showed hat gender and class variables are confounding variables for the relationship between perceptions of health information needs and the interaction of adolescents becoming members of PIK-R. Next researchers will confirm the relationship between perceptions of the need for reproductive health information with the involvement of adolescents as members of PIK-R.
