Abstract
ABSTRACT The outbreak of corona virus disease or better known as covid-19 has a major impact on almost all aspects of life, including the field of education. Schools that are usually implemented with a face-to-face system between teachers and students now have to overhaul almost the entire process in it because of a new stipulation, WFH. WFH activities or work from home not only have an impact on the "home" of several work activities, but also have an impact on the continuity of the learning process. This provision, of course, makes teachers and students have to be able to adapt quickly to the various changes that occur, starting from the learning atmosphere, learning media, techniques and even learning methods. Changes in the learning system certainly have a direct impact on the process of internalizing the values of character education. These values are very important to be instilled considering that the ultimate goal of the education process is to form good and noble human beings. This study focuses on the process of internalizing the values of character education in learning Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah during the pandemic at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Doplang Blora. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method, with the place and the research subjects in SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Doplang Blora. The data collection process was carried out by interviewing, observing and documenting as well as testing the validity of the data by using the source triangulation technique. The results showed: The process of internalizing the values of character education in Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah subjects produces character values: discipline, honesty, responsibility, hard work, independence. Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah subjects, just like other subjects, will create a special room in the Google Classroom application. This is done to train students' sense of discipline, responsibility, independence, and honesty and enthusiasm in completing assignments. The teacher uses the Zoom application if there is material presented which requires students and teachers to interact directly. The use of the Zoom application will train students to maximize the value of discipline, communicative and responsibility characters. Once a month, face-to-face classes are held, while still implementing health protocols, namely students and teachers are obliged to wear masks and keep their distance. Face-to-face classes train students to develop the character values of responsibility, social care, friendly / communicative, independent, and disciplined. The obstacles in online learning are: limited media that can be used, face-to-face time and limited choice of learning methods.
