Abstract

Elderly is a group that has 60 years of age or more. In the elderly, diabetes millitus is one of the health problems that arise and the most common case in the elderly is diabetes mellitus type II. This study aims to determine the relationship between retinopathy, balance and quality of life in the elderly against diabetes millitus type II sufferers. This research was conducted in the community of diabetes mellitus prolanis clinic Pringgodani Magetan with a sample of 55 elderly who were determined using total sampling. The data in this study were obtained with the Non-Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy (NDRP) to determine the value of retinopathy, the Single Leg Stance Test (SLST) to determine the value of static balance, the Timed Up and Go (TUG Test) to determine the dynamic balance value and the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire. to determine the value of the quality of life of the elderly.
