Abstract
The Center for Adolescent Counseling Information (PIK-R) is a program to address various problems of adolescents developed through education and community channels. However, the use of PIK-R in Indonesia is still not optimal. One of the factors that influence the utilization of reproductive health services is parental support. This study aims to determine the relationship between parental support and youth involvement in the PIK-R program at SMAN 3 Sukoharjo. This type of research is analytic observational with a case control study design. The research sample was 120, consisting of 40 case samples and 80 control samples selected using frequency matching techniques based on gender and class. The data was collected using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The analysis in this study used the Chi-Square test and the Mantel-Haenszel Chi-square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between parental support and youth involvement in the PIK-R program at SMAN 3 Sukoharjo (p-value 0.028 <0.05, OR = 0.388 95% CI (0.177-0.849)). Based on Mantel Haenszel's stratification analysis, it shows that gender and class variables are not confounding variables for the relationship between parental support and youth involvement in the PIK-R program. It is hoped that the next researchers will confirm the relationship between parental support and youth involvement in the PIK-R program.
