Abstract

Sexual violence against children is a crime related to children that can have a physical and psychological impact on the child so that this becomes the background for the importance of handling child victims of sexual violence in the form of prevention, protection or legal prosecution activities against the perpetrator. In this study the authors describe the handling efforts carried out by UPT PTPAS against child victims of sexual violence in the city of Surakarta by using primary data in the form of interviews with UPT PTPAS and secondary data in the form of laws and other literature related to research. UPT PTPAS is a special institution that deals with all forms of violence including sexual violence against children in the city of Surakarta. In carrying out its role, the UPT PTPAS has adjusted to the PerMen PPPA No. 2 of 2011 concerning Guidelines for Handling Children Victims of Violence.
