Abstract
The development of science and technology and the current incessant development, it is marked by progress in various sectors, including the industrial sector. The progress of this industrial sector has an impact on the increasingly complex operational activities of one of its main elements, namely business entities and companies, both private and companies that are under the auspices of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). But on the other hand, this industrial growth activity sometimes causes pollution and various problems to the environment around industrial areas. This problem is also exacerbated by the existence of complaints and demands from the community regarding environmental problems which are sometimes not responded to by the company and lead to omission of a problem. Companies or industries that are established in an area and generate profits from around the area should pay attention to the environment in which the industry stands. Thus, the company should carry out social and environmental responsibility or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the environment. The obligation to carry out CSR is regulated in article 74 of Law number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies, which is then technically regulated in Government Regulation Number 47 of 2012 concerning Social and Environmental Responsibility of Limited Liability Companies. The purpose of this research is to find out CSR activities in BUMN, and to know the implementation of CSR in the PLTMG Sumbawa 50 MW construction project which is carried out by one of the state-owned companies, namely PT. Wijaya Karya (WIKA) according to Government Regulation Number 47 of 2012 concerning Social and Environmental Responsibility of Limited Liability Companies in relation to CSR implementation in the 50 MW Sumbawa PLTMG construction project. This research was conducted using descriptive research with a doctrinal approach, where the data collection of this research uses data obtained from the PLTMG Sumbawa 50 MW construction project which is analyzed by qualitative methods. The results of this study indicate that the CSR carried out by the PLTMG Sumbawa 50 MW development project has met the provisions of several articles of Regulation Number 47 of 2012.
