Abstract
Indonesia is an archipelago that stretches very wide from east to west, the area also contains natural resources and other potentials. However, the extent of this region is also offset by the many natural disaster that have occurred in Indonesia one of which is flooding does not only occurred on urban areas, but also happened on rural and remote areas. One of the floods that gain a lot of attention is that occurred in early January 2020 which hit Jakarta and its surrounding, Jakarta is a city with a constant flood when the rainy season comes. However, the rainfall intensity in January is beyond normal and caused a sudden flood, the victims were trapped in their homes because they were unable to contact the SAR team due to depleted mobile power, while the supply of electricity was cut off for safety. Most of the victim were elderly making it difficult to leave the house and seek for shelter. This can be overcome by using peltier element as emergency power generator. Peltier element is a thermoelectric module that utilizes electrical energy to produce heat on one side and cold on the other side, this is called the peltier effect. By using the same module, we could generate electrical voltage by heating one surface, and cooling the other side the temperature difference generates voltage. The cold temperature is obtained from the water in the container, while the hot temperature is obtained by using the burning candle. The voltage that emerges could be adjusted and used to recharge the cellphone, so communication and coordination can be done
