Abstract

Population growth in Central Java from year to year shows a higher growth rate. The rapid population growth with an uneven distribution and economic growth in big cities motivated most of the population of Central Java to migrate to larger cities. In the destination city, there are greater job opportunities with different types of work, more adequate facilities, and also from an economic point of view they expect a more decent life with a higher income than in the area of origin. This study aims to analyze how much influence the district / city minimum wage, age, married status and gender have on migration in Central Java 2000-2015. The data used is secondary data with time series type and the data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression using the EViews10 application.
