Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the minimum wage of districts / cities, the number of large and medium industries, private investment, and education on the absorption of labor in Surakarta Residency during the period 2013-2018, using data regression analysis panel Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The data used was obtained from the official website of the Central Java Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Central Java Office of Investment and Integrated Services (DPMPTSP). The results showed that the minimum wage of districts / cities and the number of large and moderate industries have a positive and significant effect on the absorption of labor. Then private investment has a negative and significant influence on the absorption of labor, while education has no influence on the absorption of labor.
