Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of competence on teacher performance, the effect of compensation on teacher performance and the effect of competency and compensation simultaneously at SMK Kabupaten Magelang. The type of this research is research using quantitative analysis of a population of 172 teachers at SMK Kabupaten Magelang with a sample of 125 teachers was taken. The technique of completion of research data is questionnaire with likert scale. The analysis data in this study used path analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of significant probalility of variable relation is measured by t test and mediation test. The result of the study indicate that competence has a significant positive effect on teacher performance, compensation has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance and competency is mediated by compensation has a positive effect to the performance of teachers in SMK Kabupaten Magelang.
