Abstract

The purpose of a business unit is to maximize profits, where business profits are influenced by efficiency in the use of production factors. This study aims to determine the efficiency of the cashew nut home industry technicians in Jatisrono District, Wonogiri Regency. The analytical tool used in this study using a frontier production function model. The data used is in the form of primary data, which is obtained directly through observation and questionnaires. The data obtained were then processed using the Banxia Frontier Analyst software. The results of this study indicate that technical factors are the cause of the highest efficiency, namely the length of the production process. Therefore it is necessary to reduce the working hours / day in order to achieve efficiency values. Based on the analysis, it is known that of the 30 cashew nut home industries that were used as research samples, there were 10 cashew nut home industries that experienced perfect efficiency. The size of the average level of efficiency of the 30 cashew nut home industries that were used as the research sample was 0.7257. Based on the research results and conclusions, it is suggested that entrepreneurs use tools that can accelerate the production process, for example by using cashew processing machines.
