Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describes (1) the planning of the science laboratory facilities and infrastructure at SMP Negeri 1 Nguntoronadi and SMP Pancasila 8 Tirtomoyo in Wonogiri Regency, (2) the use of facilities and infrastructure for the science laboratory at SMP Negeri 1 Nguntoronadi and SMP Pancasila 8 Tirtomoyo in Wonogiri Regency, and (3) monitoring and evaluating the facilities and infrastructure for the science laboratory at SMP Negeri 1 Nguntoronadi and SMP Pancasila 8 Tirtomoyo in Wonogiri Regency. The type of this research is qualitative, the research design is case study. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Nguntoronadi and SMP Pancasila 8 Tirtomoyo in Wonogiri district. Research data is interview, observation and documentation. 2 Data analysis use a descriptive qualitative. Data validation use source triangulation techniques. The results of the study can reveal that 1) The process of planning the science facilities and infrastructure at SMP Negeri 1 Nguntoronadi and SMP Pancasila 8 Tirtomoyo in Wonogiri Regency is carried out once a year at the beginning of the new academic year which is compiled based on RKAS. The source of funds obtained by SMP Negeri 1 Nguntoronadi was for planning of the facilities and infrastructure for the science laboratory from BOS funds, while for SMP Pancasila 8 Tirtomoyo was for planning of laboratory facilities and infrastructure from BOS funds and the committee. 2) The process of using the facilities and infrastructure for the science laboratory at SMP Negeri 1 Nguntoronadi has been maximally used, while the science laboratory for SMP Pancasila 8 Tirtomoyo has not been used optimally. 3) The process of evaluating and monitoring the science laboratory facilities and infrastructure at SMP Negeri 1 Nguntoronadi is routinely carried out every semester, while SMP Pancasila 8 Tirtomoyo has never conducted apprenticeship evaluation and monitoring, but evaluation and monitoring are carried out by the local education office or almost never.
